Pastor Alan Aley has recently been called as Freemount Lutheran Church full-time pastor!

His Installation Service will be held on Sunday, April 3rd at 5:00 PM at Freemount.

A light supper and cake reception will be served following the Installation Service.

Activities at Freemount

  • A Pastor led Bible Study takes place each Wednesday evening at 6:30pm in the church basement. Our church building is handicap accessible from the northeast corner of the main building.

  • Freemount’s Church Council meets on the third Wednesday of each month at approximately 7:30 pm following the weekly Bible Study.

  • LCW (Lutheran Church Women) is in the process of restructuring following the recent COVID break. More info will be coming out early in 2022…stay tuned!

  • The Church Women collect a “Jingle Offering” on the second Sunday of each month with the donations collected going towards kitchen supplies and other worthy causes throughout our community. These offerings are collected in special loaf pans that belonged to former Freemount member, Norma Dahlsten.

  • Freemount is active in the ministry associations for both the Lindsborg and Marquette areas: TACOL (The Associated Churches of Lindsborg) and the Marquette Ministerial Alliance, in addition to other community activities.

  • Freemount hosts TWO annual events Memorial Day Dinner, from 11:00am to 12:30pm; and Ice Cream Social on the 2nd Sunday evening of September, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. All donations received are given to worthy causes decided upon prior to each event.

  • The Freemount Foundation Board holds quarterly meetings to oversee the business of the Foundation, which includes the Old Stone Church and the cemetery north of the two churches.

  • The Old Stone Church is still used for some worship services and other special events. We have the unique honor of having two churches in which to worship. In addition, there are two working pump organs in the Old Stone Church, both of which are used when worship services are held there.

We invite you to join our family.
