Freemount Church Event Schedule for 2020

LCW (Lutheran Church Women) meets once a month, usually the 3rd Wednesday evening, which includes business meetings, fellowship and Bible study. (LCW is cancelled until further notice.)

Church Council meets once a month, the 4th Wednesday evening each month.

Freemount is active in the ministry associations for both Lindsborg and Marquette areas: TACOL (The Associated Churches of Lindsborg) and Marquette Ministerial Alliance, in addition to other community activities.

Freemount's hosts their annual Memorial Day Dinner, from 11:00AM to 12:30PM; and annual Ice Cream Social on the 2nd Sunday evening every September, from 6:00PM to 7:30PM. All donations received are given to worthy causes. Large crowds usually come to enjoy the great array of delicious food and desserts!

The Freemount Foundation Board holds quarterly meetings to oversee the business of the Foundation, which includes the Old Stone Church and the cemetery north of the two churches.

The Old Stone Church is still used for some worship services and other special events. We have the unique honor of having two churches in which to worship. In addition, there are two working pump organs in the Old Stone Church, both of which are used when worship services are held there.

A "Jingle Offering" is collected once a quarter, with the donations going toward church kitchen supplies. These Jingle Offerings are gathered in several special loaf pans that belonged to Freemount saint, Norma Dahlsten.

Freemount normally enjoys their annual Resurrection Day/Easter Brunch on Easter Sunday before worship. The Odell family graciously hosts this special meal for everyone.

In addition to using the green LBW ("Lutheran Book of Worship") for hymns, we also use "With One Voice" and "The Other Songbook" alternately.

Holy communion is celebrated usually the 3rd Sunday each month, with occasional changes to this, depending on Festival or Saint Sundays.

Sunday mornings consist of 9:30AM Sunday School for ALL ages, pre-school to adult, & 10:30AM worship

A lay-led Bible study is held each Thursday evening.

We sponsor & provide a meeting place for the 4H Club, Friendly Freemount. We have an annual 4H Sunday, when the 4H Club helps with worship, serves refreshments, & reports to the congregation about their current 4H projects.

We invite you to join our family.
